Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour (HPV) Decontamination Troon
A space can appear perfectly pristine and yet still contain bacteria, viruses and mould spores that are completely invisible to the naked eye. Wiping surfaces only tackles what a cloth can actually contact, meaning the air and every awkward spot gets overlooked entirely. That is precisely the shortfall HPV decontamination fills!

Sanondaf FM provides HPV decontamination services throughout Troon. Rather than standard cleaning approaches that tackle only visible surfaces, our process thoroughly disinfects entire rooms, and we issue documented certification confirming the work has been completed to the highest standard. What is HPV decontamination?
Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour, commonly referred as HPV, is known as the process by which hydrogen peroxide is converted into an ultra fine dry mist, able to dispersing throughout a sealed environment in a similar way to a gas would. Given that it travels exactly as air does, it is able to penetrate corners, ventilation points, elevated surfaces and the concealed spaces behind equipment that conventional cleaning methods are readily unable to reach.

The vapour eliminates and destroys bacteria, virus particles, fungi and spores upon contact, including highly highly resistant pathogens such as MRSA and Clostridium difficile. After the cycle is complete, the hydrogen peroxide naturally breaks down into only water and oxygen, leaving absolutely no residue or odour behind. That makes it entirely safe to use in environments containing electronics, medical equipment and delicate surfaces.
It is additionally significantly more comprehensive than a manual clean could ever be! Our process provides a validated Log-6 reduction, meaning it destroys 99.9999% of the microbes present within a room. Most off-the-shelf sprays only claim 99.9%, and in a hospital or laboratory setting that apparently tiny difference still leaves many millions of organisms behind.
Who we are – Sanondaf FM – HPV Decontamination Specialists
Sanondaf FM has assisted clients in establishing safer more hygienic environments ever since 2014. Based in Glasgow with staff located across the UK, we cover sites in Troon swiftly, covering both routine visits and urgent outbreak responses. When it counts, we operate around the clock.

We have both Safe Contractor and NHS approval, so that our operator training and safety standards have been independently confirmed by external bodies. Every job is carried out by trained operators who handle the full process from the initial setup through to final sign-off, whilst employing patented Sanondaf technology and specialist disinfectant products.
The sectors we cover in Troon
HPV decontamination is used whenever infection control is vital and standard cleaning is insufficient. Our work covers five core sectors.
NHS and healthcare settings
From ward areas and side rooms through to operating theatres and intensive care units, we provide support across terminal cleans, outbreak response and planned cleaning schedules. The service directly helps lower hospital-acquired infections and supplies infection prevention teams with detailed, documented evidence for their audits.

Life sciences and laboratories
Fume cupboards, biological safety cabinets and air systems need to stay uncontaminated. Our dry fog vapour penetrates this equipment with zero residue, safeguarding samples and ensuring validation and compliance.
Educational settings
Educational settings are high-traffic environments where germs travel rapidly. We service entire buildings during breaks or after hours, eradicating bacteria, viruses and allergens from surfaces and the air without interrupting the timetable.

Housing and student accommodation
Mould is a serious health and compliance issue in housing and seldom stays at the surface. The vapour we use travels behind skirtings, into voids and around extractor fans, targeting spores at the source rather than masking them.

Veterinary and animal welfare
Veterinary practices, kennels and animal welfare facilities face an ever-present cross infection risk. We offer careful disinfection of consultation rooms, operating theatres, kennel areas and isolation units, and as the treatment leaves absolutely no residue, it remains fully safe within environments where animals regularly lick and rub against surrounding fittings.

Why organisations in Troon choose us
You achieve evidence you can check. Every treatment achieves a validated Log-6 reduction, with full documentation ready for audits and inspections, and the vapour reaches the air and every surface, including high and hidden areas that cloths and UV systems cannot access. As it breaks down into water and oxygen, it is suitable around sensitive equipment.
We organise every appointment around your schedule to ensure interruption minimises itself minimal, and we fully ventilate each space before handing it to you. Endorsed by Safe Contractor and NHS approval alongside more than a decade of hands-on know-how, we are a respected presence across settings as demanding as NHS critical care wards, ferries and ships.
HPV decontamination in Troon FAQ
How long does HPV Decontamination take?
The duration of the treatment is affected by the dimensions of the area and its contents, though a standard room is generally processed, aired, and restored to full use within a matter of several hours. We thoughtfully plan the work around your timings to ensure disruption remains low throughout.
Is it safe for my equipment?
Yes!! The process leaves absolutely no residue and will never corrode surfaces, making it totally safe around electronics, medical equipment and IT. Once the room has been aerated, only water and oxygen remain.
Does it replace normal cleaning?
No. HPV works in harmony with your usual cleaning process rather than doing that instead. It provides a deeper clean precisely when you need to contain an outbreak, meet an inspection, or deal with those hard to reach areas that everyday cleaning simply cannot address.
